I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker with 12 years of counselling experience mainly working with trauma/PTSD, depression and anxiety with a variety of populations via the Worker’s Compensation Board, Employee Assistance Providers (EAPs) and nonprofit organizations. In the first responder world, I have worked with nurses, firemedics and corrections officers including in a critical incident debriefing context. In 2016, I was deployed to several oil and gas camps during the Fort McMurray wildfires to provide crisis debriefing support to firefighters and other evacuees.
Prior to counselling, I spent a decade working in a variety of crisis counselling and social service roles in the nonprofit sector.

Having worked for Calgary Police for over a decade, I have specialized knowledge and experience with first responder working environments, operational and organizational stressors, trauma, and their unique relationship concerns, as well as the common responses to these stressors and the interventions used to treat symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
Additionally, I am a sessional instructor at Mount Royal University within the Psychology faculty and am well versed in providing psychoeducation and various workshops.
